Michael is back home and slowly getting better, thank Yavaha. HE HAD GONE TO TAKE THE TRUCK BACK TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP NEAR WHERE WE LIVE.
When MICHAEL CALLED FROM THE DODGE DEALERSHIP TO TELL ME THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS THERE TO TAKE HIM OUT THE ARMY HOSPITAL ON BASE, HE WAS IN SUCH DISTRESS IT WAS EXTREMLY SCARY.
HE CALLED BACK TO SAY THEY WERE TAKNG HIM TO A DIFFERENT HOSPITAL. i ARRIVED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
I WAS SO GLAD TO FIND HIM, HE HAD BEEN GIVEN MORPHINE AND WAS STILL IN A LOT OF PAIN WHEN i ARRIVED. A NURSE CAME AND CHECKED HIS VITALS AND SAID HE WOULD BE HAVING A CAT SCAN SHORTLY. sHE REFUSED HIM WATER AND BEFORE SHE LEFT i ASK FOR A BLANKET. MICHAEL WAS SHIVERING FROM BEING SO COLD HIS TEETH WERE CHATTERING. SHE BROUGHT A BLANKET AND LEFT. THE BLANKET WAS WARN SO THIN THERE WERE A FEW HOLES IN IT. IT DID NOTHING TO ALIEVE HIS COLDNESS.
I WONDER SOMETIMES WHY A PERSON (MYSELF) CAN BE SO FAINT HEARTED AND NOT SPEAK UP AND DEMAND SOMETHING BE DONE RIGHTbY MID AFTERNOON WE STILL HAD NOT SEEN A DOCTOR AND I SORTA DEMANDED TO SEE A DOCTOR.
TWENTY OR SO MINUTES WENT BY AND A MAN , LACKADAISELY SAUNDERED INTO MICHAELS ROOM. HE SAID SINCE NOTHING HAD SHOWN UP ON THE CATSCAN THEY FELT THEY HAD RAN IT TOO SOON AND NEEDED TO RUN IT IN TWO MORE DAYS, THEN HE LEFT.
AS SOON AS I ARRIEVED HOME I CALLED COLEEN AND A FRIEND DIANE. THEY WERE OF GREAT CONSULTATION TO ME.
I HAD CALLED THE ONE FRIEND AFTER I HAD THE SECOND TELEPHOME CALL FROM MICHAEL. SHE WAS A GREAT SUPPORT TO ME TELLING ME THE DIRECTIONS TO THAT HOSPITAL. SHE OWNS THE HOME NEXT TO US AND WORKS ON HER YARD ALL THE TIME THAT SHE IS NOT OFF WORKING ON A JOB. THAT VERY DAY SHE WAS WORKING ACROSS TOWN AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER WORK WAS LEAVING ON A TRIP TO MEXICO.
AS I LEFT TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL I HAD TO STOP AND GAS THE CHARGER UP. LOW AND BEHOLD MY CREDIT CARDS WERE DENIED! FORTUNITELY I HAD CASH, BUT A WOMAN WORKING THERE HAPPENED TO BE OUT DOING SOMETHING AT THE GAS PUMPS AND ASSISTED ME. (A STORY IN ITSELF). tHE PEOPLE HERE IN LAS VEGAS AMAYZE ME WITH THEIR KINDNESS.
STORY OF MICHAEL TO BE CONTUNIED TOMARROW.
Michael is home from the hospital. Praise Yahava. He is still very ill, but doing much better
Michael is in a hospital tonight. I need all the prayers of all who may read this blog. He is experinceing severe pain and is not, I pray in a life threatening situation, but I believe I need to be strong. All the strength I have is in Yahava, I feel I have little of my own strength. Perhaps I am wrong. Time will tell.
I know a woman whom I have met here in Nevada, who has been in a unhappy marriage before, who also has been blessed with a good and kind husband and I am happy for her as I have been happy for myself. Although I feel as though I have not been an easy and good a wife as I would like to be, for Michael. (Let me be clear Roderick I am not speaking of you.)
I know God has spoken to me tonight and told me to be strong, as He has spoken I will do all I can do and as always lean on Him for my strength.
What strength I do not posess all I need is provided by my creator. As we are told in Phillipans: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
My aunt Wanda Ruth and brother David were one year or two apart in age. I remember heaaring stories about how she would tease him or something, not sure what. Frances said she would run from him, around that old homesteaders shack we lived in and david would walk behind her and when she stopped then he ….What? caught her. I don’t know,
I only know she was involved in theatre in high school and was quite talented. I did get to see a play she was in. I was in awe.
All the Wallin family said I looked like my aunt Wanda, of basicly German descent, as the Jacksons all said I looked like my aunt Ruth. Interesting.
Beware of my spelling, wordpress.com has my grammerly turmed totally off, so you are at mercy of my really bad spelling abilities.
Michael was not going to wear an apron, graduation or not! Had it not been a woman who had walked up and tied it on him, it would not have made it around his waist.
So cute. He definitely had captured everyones attention.
Ebony takes a much needed nap. She is sleeping in her new home. I had told her we had bought her a new house, forgettingn how many words she did know the meaniing of.
When we moved into our new house in Greenfield she took that house over with a vengence. Well, I did tell her we were buying her a house. She loved it!
One day I bought her a rain jacket with a cover for her head sewn on. We had no patio cover. She went out the doggie door and Stopped. She just stood there in the rain puzzeled by the fact no rain fell on her. She stood for over twenty minutes, stock still.
I cannot even begin to imagine what might have been going through her mind. Pure joy indeed along with great puzzelment.
Nedra and me , I think this was up Cimmaron Canyon in New Mexico. I vaguely remember being camping out in that canyon with family and several people I was not familar with.
I think it may have been Aunt Velma and uncle George. Aunt Velma, grandmother wallins sister was not at all like her. She put me in mind of ma Kettle, if any of you have ever seen a Ma and Pa Kettle, movie. They were ancient and forien movies to me as a child and baby I am old, just don’t spread that around. Michael still thinks I’m young. Well, he keeps me young.
More to this later the snow that fell last night is melting and comming off the slide outs so we can get on the road.
Three A.M. awake again. That toothache that started last Thursday has been a doozy. Now I am toothless on my bottom lower left side of my mouth, the blessing here will be if I am actually able to drop some weight. Yesterday the first blessing was getting the name of a good dentist. Ann gave me her dentist’s name, Dr. R.Garth Harris. I could have not found a better dentist.
The second blessing was getting the bleeding to stop as the hemorrhaging problem has become a much larger problem in the past few months.
My dentist in California had to build a bridge for me a few years ago, as my partial had become painful, due to my bone growth, which he told me was rare, thank you Frances (a private joke between Coleen and me) not, of course, her fault, just in the genes. That had always been painful or touchy and now will no longer be a problem.
As the tooth was broken and full of infection it will be antibiotics and soft food for the next few weeks. I am feeling better and plan to get back to work on my large painting, Portraits of my ancestors. I started reworking the sky Saturday and replacing it with storm clouds moving out, stay off the computer and get some work done.
