SOUTHWESTERN LANDSCAPE CHAPTER 1

FIRST RENDITION OF SOUTHWESTERN LANDSCAPE

I STARTED THIS PAINTING AS MANY I HAVE PAINTED. I AM VERY FAMILAR WITH THE SOUTHWESTERN LANDSCAPES AS I HAVE TRAVELED THOSE STATES MANY TIMES. THIS IS A PAINTING I SAT DOW AND WINGED IT. IT IS A PAINTING MADE UP FROM MY FAMILATRY AND IMAGNATION. ONE OF MY SPIRIT LED PAINTING’S.

I WAS WORKING IN FRONT OF OUR FIREPLACE IN A RENTAL WE WERE LIVING IN. THE SPACE WAS FORESHORTENED DUE TO THE MININAL DEPTH OF THIS AREA OF THE HOME. AFTER MANY WEEKS OF PAINTING I MOVED THE PAINTING TO A LONGER ROOM AND COULD SEE THAT I HAD A INDIAN PROFILE ON TOP OF THE SECOND MOUNTAIN. I WENT BACK TO WORK ON IT TO REMOVE THE PROFILE AND DAYS LATER WHEN I MOVED IT TO AN AREA FROM WHICH I COULD VIEW THE PAINTING, I HAD ANOTHER DIFFERENT INDIAN PROFILE ON IT, SO I JUST LEFT IT. AND CONTINUED THE PAINTING.

AS I CONTUNIED AND FINISHED THE PAINTING AND HUNG IT IN OUR LIVING AREA I FELT IT COULD TAKE MORE WORK, LEAVING IT FOR LATER.

LATER IT IS AGAIN SOMETHING I CONTUE WORKING ON. MORE ABOUT THAT LATER.
